Boof
She rolled along paved roads
Without a care dreams unfold.
Whatever destination
Near or far
Traveled my little red car.
She sped through summer,
And glided through fall.
-Even winters canyon couldn't frustrate her gaul.

Kindling
All the while no fire started
Kindling glowed and kept out the darkness.
Too long the embers fought
With no help of wind,
To pick up a spark
And journey begin.

Aborted Love
Months of growth
Nourished by laughter,
Ever doomed for sheer disaster.
Left alone and kicked aside
Was the fate of this heart of mine.
Time will bury this aborted love
And fate will visit
The wreck less one.

Lessons
When asked what lessons you have taught me,
I find my mind is blank.
No quick quote or winded passage,
-The seeds more deeply laid.
The way you pause to hold your breath,
Or the way you sweep the floor.
Speaks volumes above guidance,
Like holding open the door.

Is it wrong to call you inspiration?
Before you there was no dedication.
The world dull with desolation.

My pen filled with expectation.

Know You
I wish that I could know you,

Frostbitten Heart
Too empty to cry,
So lonely I've died.
All the years flown by.
Looking back
I remember their faces;
All the rejections,
And misplaced conceptions.
The one thing I have,
Is knowing that I tried.
Here is my wight flag
Goodbye.

Fighting the beast

You pull into the parking lot,
And plug the speakers in.
Change out the reel,

Take hold the directors chair,
And edit as you please.

Never Ending Swallow
Perhaps the hardest lesson
We are ever faced to learn
Is written on this paper;
Curtsied by verse.
However long we live
We mustn't give up.
Drink up life in a never ending swallow,
Never lowering the cup.
Curse at contentment
And rejoice in knowing of a tomorrow.

Hero
Have you ever dreamed of being a hero,
A caped crusader, a masked man?
Well chin up,

Or flying a fancy jet.
Simply put your pants on,
And be a man.

Your heart is on the table
And quarries begin to assault.

The outer or shoot for it all?
However far the penetration
When you recast leave me on the inside.

Last Breath Shut Down
To shut down shop
You start with the lights,
You would lock the doors,
And sweep for mites.
To shut down a man
Is far more intricately planned,
For several systems make him stand.
Take his heart and whats in his head.
Without these governing two
--His fate certain death.
But be gentle and systematic
In taming the lad
For like a frog,
He is not easily had.

Hyper-Extended Heart
After being pulled and twisted
And far too stretched;
My poor heart could use a rest.
A special brace,
By the name of love,
Could cure such an ailment
As hyper extended love.

And not too tight.
For like a glove it should fit just right.

Just Being You
Just being you brings a brightness to my day;
In the way you say hello,
Or in a how was your day;
--Just being you chases the darkness away.
The way your hair falls,
Or your body as it sways;
Just being you brings a smile to my face.
So don't stop in front of the mirror
And ask it what to change;
Keep you how you are,
Let your quarks stay the same.
--And most importantly let imperfection remain.

Dead Star Light
Long ago a star was born
In every galaxy its light was shown.
And one day, millenia now past,
A space woman set course
For the light source these galaxies had.
As she shuttled nearer
Her fear began to brim
Her arrival too late,
And the star was dim.

Majestic Eagle
I came across a grounded eagle
Not far from his nest.
I asked: "What's the matter?"

And soon I'll be circling above the rest."

Ode to the song bird

Interior Monoluge
Devils tear at my skin.
And this is where it begins,
I bite my tongue to settle the pain
The taste of blood floods in.
Vision fades and I become unaware
The life that surrounds me
When will this battle subside?
I wake up in the morning
With a fear inside my head
I don't know when its going to happen
--Or if it will ever end.
This torment wraps around me
Daring me to comprehend
I don't know why these devils
Are constantly tearing at my skin
My heart is always sagging
Wishing you could understand.
In my mind I run,
But soon I stop.
And reality catches up.
My hand starts to shake,
My heart starts to bleed.
As it takes over my body
I fall to my knees.
A quivering man at your feet.
I bite my tongue to relinquish the grief
Blood soon trickles through my teeth.
If it were possible for you to witness
I would take you by the hand
Id make you feel this.
There is no resistance.
Id take you to hell,
And then Id take you back
Time stops and reality spins.

Count The Ways
I cannot count the ways I love you
Or begin to name them all.
The little things inside you
That make you who you are;
Are a blessing to those around you

All The Days
All the days I dream of you,
To have you by my side.
All the days I look to heaven,
And with my heart I cry:
'Why am I so lucky!'
And the tears begin to fly.
'Why such a beautiful daughter
Do I have to call mine?'
Indeed tears of humbleness flow freely down my cheeks.
Your purity overwhelms me
And I fall to my knees,
How wonderful a miracle
That someone such as I,
Could find the pleasure of our Father
To bless from on high.
With such a priceless gift
An angels hand I hold.
Who lifts me up and cares for me,
And loves me when the world turns cold.
All the days I love her,
All the days I try,
To be the man God meant for her
And who's found favor in His eyes.

Where can I find the words
That would tell you how I feel?
If I were only Shakespeare

An answer I seek.
Secrets 'like you'
'Scared' though they seem.
'It's the way to go'
This undefined path.

Love Coded 'L'
What mysteries lie behind,
These clouded enigmatic dies?
--Conspiracies of love,
Too afraid to confide?
When will I know the secrets that you keep?
...No matter how long I hold them up to the light to read.
Or under the water and cause them to bleed.

Backporch Doorbell
I saw you often,
While at work.
I noticed you there,
But no emotion stirred.
-Until one day,
I don't recall when;
You walked by,
And I turned my head.
In the midst of my search
You were already there,
Standing at the backdoor,
Ringing the bell.

Chemical Science
If love were a molecule;
A simple chemical science,
You would be the bond
That would hold the alliance.
But love is not simple
Nor a chemical science,
The equation still simple
Is equal to two;
One from me
Plus one from you.

Eagle-Barett I
20% is all I gave,
It's all I have stored up and saved.
I've tried my hardest,
And that's a fact.
It's all I could give
-Nothing held back
My kidney's failed,
They've gone off track...
Like a one-way train;
Never coming back.
I was invincible,
Until today.
My unconquerable world
Was conquered today.
Time had flown,
And life has caught up;
To the untouchable,
That has now been touched.
With every win,
There is a loss;
The bell has sounded
But who will win?
The score is 0
But he is 10,
Plus 3, plus 4
Is the final score.

An apple a day keeps the doctor away;
A traditional saying in my day.
Four in the morning,
Four by noon
-And remember eat with food.
To top it off take five and a half at night,
Six and a half every three
-What is life?
A conclusion still to see.

Silent Thought
I stand in silence
While feelings pass through,
From my heart to my head
And out to you
-Where existence is dead.
From me to you, and you to me
On a one way street
Where I can't see.
There is no end
And no beginning.
Thoughts in my head
All keep on spinning.

A Shadow In His Footsteps
You walk in the footsteps
That Christ once had.
Very few have moms like you.
If any at all, are as lucky as me,
The cream of the crop is what I see.
A mom so caring, so loving, so neat,
You pick me up from off my feet
--And carry me through times of defeat.
How precious, how pure you are to me.
But that's not all,
No! Not just me,
You pick us all up
All meaning three.
When in your arms
They cannot give way.

Where should we turn?
Why such pittance of aimer?
People walking without a care.

Love looks like a puzzle carefully put together.
Love smells like the scent of freshly fallen rain.

I am...

Questions For The Soul
Is it an alarm,
The uneasiness of guilt?
Is it a song
Meant to be danced to?
Is it a prayer?
What is the soul?
A flicker of hope,
A flare of truth?
Does it hide,
Or is it always here?
Can I talk to it
-Can it talk to me?
Are we the same,
Or are we polar?
In our thoughts
Who controls the thunder?
Is it the tears that fall from my eyes?
The stillness of a day gone right?
Where will I find you?
Where do you sleep at night?

Writers and Spiders
Writers and spiders are the only two creatures that spill their guts to survive.
Walking through life with strife and grief,
Writers and spiders are here to teach.

Wherever they go they will be met.

Know what others wish to know.
Shinning to the world:

And seeing what others cannot see.
